The blurring aspect is a definite edge over the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Hourglass Vanish Concealer mattifies and blurs your under eye circles a bit. I would say the wear time is on par with the Fenty Concealer (but the Fenty doesn’t work as well under my eyes because it is a tad drier looking).īecause of the Hourglass’s long-lasting coverage, it is a great concealer to use around your nose or chin where makeup tends to get rubbed off throughout the day. The Hourglass lasts way longer without caking or oxidizing. The Hourglass definitely outperforms my old standby concealer, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, when it comes to wear time. The Hourglass does not disappoint in what I consider the most important quality in a concealer. I’m actually impressed with how far concealers have come lately, achieving full coverage without heaviness or thickness. You need only the tiniest little bit to fully cover your under eye circles or redness. The Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer gives complete, opaque coverage. This brush is magic! Let this be a treat even if you just need a new brush and not concealer then treat yourself to this one as it really is such a great tool to help give you the most airbrushed finish. Before and After of the Hourglass concealer on dark circles (no other makeup) It literally only took a couple sweeps under my eyes and across my eyelids to make a difference. This is why I knew this brush was going to be good and it's not just good, it's brilliant. The brush itself is lovely and weighty so you have such great control while using it and the half-moon angle really is a perfect shape and size to get under the eyes and into facial contours and blends the concealer in just a few strokes. until I tried their powder brush that worked with their powders and now I am sold as that brush is probably my most used one ever and it still feels and looks brand new (ft here in the main images!). It was, in fact, Hourglass who got me into 'using the brushes that work alongside the product' as I was always a bit un-suckered into the extra spend. I think using a good eye cream prior is key should you suffer with this issue and making sure you aren't using anything that could interfere with it working. This will most definitely be a win for brides on their wedding day! I did hear a few reports from others of it being drying but I haven't found this to be case at all. It wears super well and I didn't have to touch it all day long. where are this one is, plus it gives a much nicer, natural result. Compared to a well-known rival (Tarte shape tape) which I find takes forever to blend and is more like a full-on foundation than a concealer, yet does give a flawless result but I just think it isn't the easiest to work with. It feels super hydrating and a little does go far as this is my kind of 'fullish coverage' that doesn't feel you have anything on and takes seconds to blend. The pigment was enough to cover my darkness and balanced the redness on my eyelids instantly and evened out the tone of my skin all over. It doesn't crease nor settle into my lines (win!) and you can set it however you usually would if you wish but I didn't even feel that I needed to. The semi-matte finish is my ideal as it leaves just a hint of dewiness while setting down to a more natural healthy look. The creamy, light texture is a dream to work with and buffs into my skin like silk. I have to say there aren't many new concealers that live fully up to the hype, yet this one does, every part of it.
